Stockghyll Cottage is often praised for its location, a short walk from the vibrant Bowness-on-Windermere. Many guests appreciate starting their day with the freshly cooked English breakfast, which includes vegetarian and vegan options, as well as homemade honey and preserves. The presence of a stream and a 'private' waterfall in the backyard also stands out as a highlight, although a few guests have noted that some rooms can be small.

Mixed Feelings About This Place

spider webs cramped room
The breakfast was alright, with some acceptable options.
The room felt quite cramped. It was definitely a small double room. The cleanliness was not fantastic either. I noticed spider webs in a few corners of the room. I was disappointed in the value for money I got.
